SIDEZ is both an organization that serves all of Alexander, Pulaski and Johnson counties and a federally designated empowerment zone that includes six census tracts: 9778, 9710, 9711, 9577, 9578 and 9579.  This is a map of the federally designated empowerment zone.  The map below shows the original designation of the SIDEZ area.  The SIDEZ footprint was expanded to cover all of Alexander and Johnson counties and to include Massac and Union counties.
