VISION

The Southernmost Illinois Delta Empowerment Zone will be noted for its scenic beauty, economic vitality and high quality of life that are a result of citizens working together to bring about positive change.

The Southernmost Illinois Delta Empowerment Zone (SIDEZ) is a 501(c)3 not-for profit that works on broad economic development initiatives in Pulaski, Alexander and Johnson counties in the State of Illinois.

SIDEZ operates a revolving loan fund for new and expanding businesses, manages a small business incubator in Mounds, Illinois, promotes local tourism through the Tour de Shawnee bike ride, sponsors an annual ELITE youth camp for future entrepreneurs and raises funds for the endowment of the Willard Murrie Scholarship.
