VISION

The Southernmost Illinois Delta Empowerment Zone will be noted for its scenic beauty, economic vitality and high quality of life that are a result of citizens working together to bring about positive change.

                                                     

                      

The Southernmost Illinois Delta Empowerment Zone (SIDEZ) is a 501(c)3 not-for profit that works on broad economic development initiatives in Alexander, Johnson, Massac, Union and Pulaski counties in the State of Illinois.

SIDEZ operates a revolving loan fund for new and expanding businesses, manages a small business incubator in Mounds, Illinois, promotes local tourism through the development of cycling tours, sponsors an annual ELITE youth camp for future entrepreneurs and funds the Willard Murrie Scholarship for Shawnee Community College students.
